Fractions Boost curriculum

Fractions have been a core area of need for intervention in math for decades and the devastating impacts of COVID-19 on learning has exacerbated that need.

Fractions Boost Curriculum is a verified method that supports elementary students in building strong fractions understanding, skills, and problem solving. Covering third and fourth grade standards across 16 critical skill areas, organized by grade and topic, lessons can be taught in whole or small group settings, allowing schools to implement alongside or as a replacement to existing core curriculum and/or to support their Response to Intervention (RTI) or Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS).

Fractions Boost Intervention is informed by decades of learning sciences research, including fractions instruction, cooperative learning, game-design, and problem solving strategies.

A recent evaluation of the program led by Johns Hopkins University (2021) found significant impacts on student learning with a large effect size of +1.40 in third grade and +0.94 in fourth grade classrooms.
