Unlocking Student Thinking: Introducing ASSISTments + Teachley Problem-Solving Tools

With a grant from the National Institutes of Health, Teachley partnered with The ASSISTments Foundation to bring our problem-solving modeling tools to their formative assessment platform. Based on research, these digital tools help students model and solve Illustrative Mathematics problems, giving teachers greater insight on students’ thinking.

Available on 400+ problem sets across grades 1 - 5, we invite elementary teachers to join us on Tuesday, April 29th at 4:30pm EST to learn how to access these tools AT NO COST!

Sample problem from Illustrative Mathematics modeled three different ways using the Teachley tools. What do these tell you about each child's understanding of the problem? Can you catch the common mistake?
